What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher AM/PM position at Hilton?
The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and drying all china, glassware, silverware and other equipment returned to the dish hall station by server assistants or from other employees. Additionally, this position may be responsible for ensuring that all tables are kept clean and presentable with clean china, glassware, silverware, and linen.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Comply at all times with service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Employees must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.

- Maintains the dishwashing station.
- Organizes and places items in trays for the washing machine.
- Operates washing machine and dries items before returning them to their proper stock location.
- Washes items by hand that will not fit in the machine or not intended for an automatic wash before drying and returning those items to their proper location.
- Helps fellow employees as needed to ensure the restaurant meets guest volume and completes assigned side duties.
- Understands and follows safety and sanitation practices and works with clean and sanitized tools (bus tubs, towels, broom, dustpan, floor sweeper).
- Performs duties that require standing, fast movement throughout the kitchen area.
- Performs side duties including cleaning vents, scrubbing trash cans, cleaning gum from underneath the tables, detailed cleaning of chairs, cleaning of ice bins, replacing light bulbs, setting up sanitizers, cleaning floor sweepers, emptying trash, and taking the trash to the dumpster.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
- Perform other duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 1-year previous experience in hospitality
