Hilton’s Commercial Services organization is comprised of team members driving our sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are key to Hilton’s ability to drive profitable growth.

What will I be doing? As a Senior Digital Accessibility Analyst, you will build positive partnerships with the technology delivery teams to ensure that Hilton's digital technology products can be used by Team Members and customers with disabilities. You will participate in our digital technology delivery efforts, serving as the advocate for our guests with disabilities (vision, hearing, motor, cognitive, etc.) and share your deep understanding of standards and practices used to achieve compliance with the accessibility standards published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). You will develop rich, accessible experiences for guests of all abilities throughout their journey with Hilton!

More specifically, you will:

• Support digital initiatives – such as One Hero Web delivery pods and Shared Components initiatives – to ensure consistent, accessible experiences throughout the user journey.
• Execute accessibility strategy set forth by the Digital Accessibility Manager to include supporting the implementation of accessibility testing methods and measuring against success metrics toward continuous accessibility conformance.
• Support product delivery teams in their efforts to design, develop, test, deliver and maintain target accessibility standards.
• Review UX Designs (i.e., wireframes, visual designs, and interaction patterns) to provide accessibility considerations that can be used as annotations and write accessibility specific acceptance criteria.
• Identify and deliver on demand training to improve the team’s abilities to deliver accessible digital experiences.
• Partner with user experience researchers to confirm accessibility considerations are front of mind early and throughout all research undertakings.

Requirements

• Strong solid understanding of WAI-ARIA and W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS and knowledge of JavaScript.
• Understanding of the assistive technologies currently available for our customers, the technologies used to measure compliance, and remain up to speed on innovations in both.
• Familiarity with assistive technology devices including screen readers, screen magnification, alternative keyboard inputs, etc.
• Familiarity with automated accessibility testing tools, such as Axe, Wave, or Tenon.
• Ability to provide technical assistance and remediation guidance at the code level to multi-functional teams.
• Knowledge of accepted accessibility interaction patterns and standard methodologies.
• Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as regional and international accessibility laws.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

• Five (5) years of professional experience
• Three or more (3) years of experience in the digital accessibility discipline.
• Solid grasp of WCAG 2.1 and an understanding of accessibility and usability principles that impact users with disabilities.
• Working knowledge of WAI-ARIA and W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS
• Certificate in Accessibility, Web Development, or User Experience
• Travel up to 10%

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• BA/BS (Bachelor’s Degree), or Associate Degree or High School Diploma/GED plus 10 years of Technology related experience
• Five or more (5) years of experience in the digital accessibility field.
• Experience with web development
• Prior experience in the Hospitality industry
