Position Title: Reading Specialist (Long-Term Substitute)Location: East ElementaryAnticipated Start Date: 10/23/24-3/17/2025Duration of Assignment: 17 weeksJob Description: Hingham Public Schools seeks a highly-qualified, knowledgeable educator to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders. The candidate will be responsible for the daily duties of a Reading Specialist (K-2), working alongside their teammates to provide Reading support, intervention, and knowledge.Qualifications: Education: Hold a Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Education or related field of study Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6 or Early Childhood PreK-2 OR Hold a valid license as a Reading Specialist Experience and knowledge within the role as Reading SpecialistResponsibilities: Maintains currency with the latest developments and research in the field through various means and keeps department members informed of new developments, as needed.
