Systems Cloud Engineer

HirePlace is currently hiring a Systems Cloud Engineer in Nashville, TN to support a utilities organization. The hire will be a key memeber of the IT department and be responsibile for designing and managing clud infrastrcuture. They will also implement and maintain cloud based solutions ensuring optimal performance and sercurity.This is a full-time role with expectations of a mostly onsite work environment. Required Work Experience:

• 3 years in a Systems Administration role with Office365, AD, and General Microsoft comprehension.
• 2-3 years working in an Azure Cloud environment. Must have this experience specifically with Azure and no other cloud service.
• Preferred prior experience migrating data from on premise to cloud.
• Scripting experience with powershell, bash, python, or other applicable language
• Experience working in cross functional teams, including software developers and network engineers.
• Experience designing and scaling resilient cloud architectures.

Work Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure
• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of cloud environment by monitoring system metrics, identifying issues, and implementing timely resolutions.
• Automate deployment and configuration processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Install, modify, enhance, test, and implement standard configurations for deployment of workstations, servers, and other network components, and client software.
• Develop secure automated solutions for administrative and domain management tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBS, Python, etc.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance local systems and applications, and implement adaptations for 3rd party solutions incorporated into the production environment.
• Conduct and support authorized vulnerability scanning on systems, networks, database, and applications.
• Supervise the deployment, configuration, and administration of infrastructure resources (On-Prem and Cloud).
