Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shipping Foreman to join our team. As a Shipping Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing shipping activities within our industrial/manufacturing setting. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the timely, accurate, and safe delivery of products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of shipping personnel, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Utilize your industrial/manufacturing shipping experience to effectively manage all aspects of shipping processes.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
- Operate a forklift to efficiently load trucks and move materials within the facility.
- Work outdoors and indoors, regardless of weather conditions, to ensure the continuous flow of shipping operations.
- Maintain a high level of organization in the shipping area, optimizing space and ensuring products are stored in an orderly manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and inventory, to streamline shipping procedures and resolve any potential bottlenecks.
- Lead by example, showcasing your strong teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing shipping is required.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer skills is necessary for tasks such as maintaining digital records and communication.
- Strong understanding of Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an aptitude for optimizing space and resources.
