Overview
The Technical Product Analyst is responsible for writing business requirements and helps translate them into appropriate technical specifications to be used by the technology teams in new feature development and testing for HireRight applications. The Technical Product Analyst will work with business end users to learn, analyze and document current business processes and application functionality as well as new requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements analysis and verification to ensure requirements meet business needs, are complete, consistent and clear.
- Develop and maintain documentation on business input and translation into visual models (Business domain model, process flow diagrams, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, data models, and wireframes).
- Collaborates closely as a team player with other consultants, developers and other members of service delivery.
- Coordinate with development team and support team to analyze and fix root cause issues, as needed.
- Perform system end-to-end testing to validate and ensure the system meets the required specifications.
- Conduct end-user training for any system implementations or enhancements.
- Work with end users and technology teams to analyze and prioritize application requirements into a platform backlog and assist in creating work breakdown deliverables.
- Facilitate process workshops, document any information elicited using process maps and business requirements documents.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of end user documents, training materials, and user demos.
- May apply project management skills to develop work plans and manage and track progress, resources, timelines and issues for the on-time and on-budget delivery of small development tasks.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-7 years of experience in enterprise-level technical product analyst role.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in implementation, configuration, system design or related business experience
- Experience in business analysis to include creating business and functional requirement documentation.
- Experience working in matrix and agile environment.
- Excellent interviewing, listening, observational, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams across the organization.
Education:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field required; or related technical work experience
