DUTIES

• Prepare sushi related products based on product type and recipes

• Applies proper cutting techniques, piece count, packaging, and labeling standards

• Properly display and arrange visual presentation of products in sushi trays and cases

• Assist in store opening, maintaining product, and closing of sushi bar operations

• Ensures all required log books, including rice pH log and temperature logs are verified

• Greet, interact and communicate with customers; includes taking orders and addressing issues

• Actively displays knowledge of all sushi menu items

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sushi bar

• Maintain and order appropriate levels of produce and inventory to meet production demand

• Understand local sanitation, health codes, and weight/measurement requirements

• Share ingredient & nutritional information about the sushi products to encourage sales

• Friendly, knowledgeable, and represents our client professionally

• Interact with Store and/or Deli Manager as required

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experienced sushi chef

• One year prior food handling experience

• Flexibility to travel if/when required; the company requires proof of valid driver’s license

• ServSafe certified and knowledge of food safety standards preferred

• Excellent customer service skills

• Team Player and strong work ethic

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., reach, bend stoop and stand for long period of time

• Ability to effectively communicate in English
