What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Historic Beverly?
Experienced bookkeeper wanted. Responsibilities include posting all income and expense entries; end of month close GL maintenance & reconciliation; make bank deposits, process weekly AP entries and generate checks. Reconcile bank statements monthly; track grant funds; process shop transactions; prepare monthly financial and board reports and participate in annual audit. Generally 4-5 hours/week. $25.
Qualifications: the successful candidate will have at least three years experience in non-profit accounting, and will be familiar with QuickBooks, Microsoft office and basic IT operations. Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting. The candidate will have a strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles. Must be able to negotiate three-floor historic building with limited accessibility.
