Classification: Seasonal/part-time

Location: Otis House Museum, Boston

Description: Historic New England seeks seasonal, part-time Guides to work at the 1796 Otis House Museum located on Beacon Hill in Boston, MA. Guides are responsible for conducting tours of the museum property and performing daily opening and closing procedures. In addition to the presentation of interpretative tours, guide responsibilities include collecting admissions and gift shop sales, daily care of the museum space and collections, and assisting the Site Manager with public programs and administrative duties. Training is provided.

Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have an interest in history, and be comfortable working with computers. Experience in customer service desirable. Must be available during opening hours (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and commit to employment through the end of the 2024 season, June – October.

Salary: $16/hr.
