Data Quality Specialist

The HistoWiz Artificial Intelligence team (http://www.histowiz.com/) is looking to hire a Data Quality Specialist to help grow and organize annotated datasets that are critical to the development of state-of-the-art machine learning solutions for digital pathology. The data quality specialist will join a small but dynamic AI team that seeks to deliver valuable solutions that help clinicians and researchers solve important medical challenges.

The ideal candidate would have strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail. The candidate should also have good analytical skills, some programming experience and a desire to build a deeper understanding of the AI field. This role covers a broad range of different tasks and will require the candidate to interface with many different people across HistoWiz. As such, good communication skills are essential.

Requirements

The primary responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

• Manage data acquisition efforts
• Manage all data annotation campaigns
• Assure quality in machine learning training datasets
• Organize and distribute annotated datasets
• Explore publicly available machine learning datasets
• Assist engineers with machine learning model evaluations
• Assist project manager in performing market research
• Oversee the quality of the HistoWiz proprietary slide database

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• Highly developed organizational skills
• Some experience with Python programming
• Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and working independently
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and across disciplines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exposure to data annotation for real-world AI solutions
• Experience working with cloud computing (GCP, AWS, etc.)
• 2 years of industry experience at a company doing machine learning
