Description: Assist attorneys and practice group in various types of legal matters and provide assistance in preparing legal documents; research and compile data; prepare drafts of documents; maintain responsibility for files, calendars and meetings, etc. Key Responsibilities Include: Gather, organize, summarize and index documents from various sources Preparation and filing of UCC financing statements Preparation of closing documents Distribution of signature pages Filing annual corporate statements with Secretary of State Title search and survey a plus, but not required Entity formation a plus, but not required Attendance at and participation in meetings and/or closings Special projects and additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Mid-level or 5-10 years' experience in related area Organizational skills to work independently and meet deadlines in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions Organizational skills to maintain daily accounting of time records and input timesheets into the system directly Communication skills to interact with all levels of internal staff, attorneys and management and external clients of the firm Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree, Paralegal Certification a plus Benefits: Four weeks paid time off per year, increasing every 5 years; ten paid holidays per year; comprehensive health (PPO and HDHPs), dental and vision plans including for domestic partners; life and AD&D insurance; short and long term disability insurance; FSA or HSA for medical; dependent care FSA; AFLAC and umbrella coverage available; Employee Assistance Program; 401(k) Plan, with profit sharing components; pre-tax transit and parking program; up to 12 weeks disability/parental leave; backup child/adult care/senior care planning through Care@Work; Rethink Benefits.
