Overview:
HKS Dallas is seeking a Knowledge Manager to join our team.Manages the curation and preservation of the firm's project and client information through monitoring the growth, quality and usage of information resources and providing training on the use of knowledge management applications to promote collaboration and knowledge transfer. Collaborates with technical, business development, marketing and communications groups. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of knowledge management practices and procedures to complete assignments with integrity and creativity in collaboration with team. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to sustainable project solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Global Knowledge Services team to develop long term knowledge management strategy and identify gaps in information resources and tools
- Coordinates and helps create content management strategies for practices and work groups
- Works across enterprise and practices to align processes to organize and publish knowledge content, and coordinates with other departments on internal campaigns and training
- Identifies, sources and socializes best-of project information and imagery by sector throughout the firm
- Gathers key research around design topics, project types and industry trends, and works with subject matter experts to create reports to provide insight for project decision-making
- Supports the Global Knowledge Services team in redeveloping the corporate intranet, and supports intranet group owners in maintaining active communities
- Tracks and reports on the knowledge contributions throughout the firm
- Coordinates the efforts of central content owners
- Involves users in structured design and planning activities
- Communicates actively with all main stakeholder and user groups
- Provides introductions and training to users of all different levels (including average users, content owners, news authors, group owners)
- Partners with cross-functional teams in the timely fulfillment and delivery of asset orders and inquiries, ownership of process development and refinements for asset -related workflows, and stewardship of all digital assets
- Acts as point of contact for all asset-related requests and queries
- Acts with positive, service-driven attitude with a commitment to going above and beyond to help customers and team members
- Seeks leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members and collaborating with team leaders
- Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
- Manages conflict effectively and encourages a healthy team environment
- Identifies and may assist in implementing cost savings ideas in collaboration with team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field such as Marketing, Business Administration, corporate communications, Human Resources or Library Science; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically with 5 years of experience, with 2 years of knowledge management experience
- Experience in Library Science preferred
- Experience in managing and implementing intranets or collaboration software
- Experience in web or intranet content management, writing and editing for digital platforms and management of data and information
- Interest or background in marketing, business administration, corporate communications, professional development, human resources or library science preferred
- Understanding of top-level business strategies and organizational structures
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Strong leadership skills to coordinate and facilitate activities with colleagues
- Experience in project management
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
