Job Title: Lead Quality Analyst
Job Summary
Responsible for Product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Suggests improvements in products, processes and procedures. Expected to work effectively with Manufacturing and engage required functions to solve business critical issues. A successful Lead Quality Analyst will have strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for continuous improvement, ensuring that processes and products meet or exceed business and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive corrective actions/preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent manufacturing/supplier defects
- Manage the continuous improvement process and drive participation/engagement in Quality Thursdays
- Calculate first pass yield (FPY), analyze data and develop plans to address high defect areas
- Drive nonconformance reports through the process to ensure production defects are addressed properly and in a timely manner
- Act as a point of contact and key manufacturing resource for internal/external audits
- Evaluate process/product conformance and perform quality audits for various manufacturing/business processes
- Manage manufacturing/supplier cost of poor quality (CoPQ) and identify/implement solutions to reduce impact to the business
- Identify and implement improvements to the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Review, update and gain approvals of QMS documents
- Work cross-functionally to solve business critical issues, as they arise
- Performs additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Production Quality.
Desired Characteristics
- Previous experience working in a Quality role
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and API Q1/16A/16D/6A standards
- Experience with bills of material (BOMs), engineering specifications and drawings
- Previous work in a shop floor environment
