The Production Operator position requires skills developed through formal training or work experience, high attention to detail and accuracy with numbers. You will work within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify approach and must complete assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision. Sets-up and operates special purpose equipment for rubber molding. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces. Starts and observes press operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance moldings and adjusts press controls as required.
Job Responsibilities
- Sets-up and operates special purpose equipment for rubber molding.
- Trim rubber flash and identify parts after molded.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
- Starts and observes press operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance moldings and adjusts press controls as required.
- Perform work in compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality expectations.
- Ability to apply basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, work orders and drawings.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to meet consistent attendance.
- Ability to work, focus and thrive in a very fast paced and noisy work environment.
- The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 20 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The employee must be able to safely operate a forklift while loading or unloading production parts.
- Ability to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.1 years related experience.
Desired Characteristics
- 3 years related experience.
- Certified to operate a forklift.
- Experience with Oracle or SAP.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
- High attention to detail, accuracy with numbers.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and order.
- Able to work extended hours and weekends.
- Knowledge of rubber molded parts.
- Demonstrated willingness to complete all tasks to support production business objectives.
Additional Information
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Required to use personal protective equipment. Most working areas are covered and inside but are not air-conditioned. Ceiling fans and heaters are used as needed.
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends as business needs.
- 5:00AM – 1:30PM Monday through Friday (with overtime as required).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
- No relocation assistance.
