What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Coordinator position at HMI Utilities?
HMI Communications, LLC, a subsidiary of Henkels & McCoy Group, Inc., provides engineering, planning, construction, and system integration services to support multiple lines of business for both government and commercial utility providers.
Position Summary:
The Construction Coordinator duties will include but not be limited to:
- Gather, track and input project related data to set-up projects in Daily Work Reports from field
- Work with local municipalities on ascertaining project specific permits
- Manage the quality of work and budget costs
- Communicate with clients, developers, architects, and engineer
- Prepare work schedules for contractors and laborers.
- Adhere to both budgetary and time constraints.
- Visit and inspecting building sites.
- Report on progress and challenges.
- Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.
- Overall administration of one or more projects
- Miscellaneous administrative duties as requested.
- Support our LEAN management team and project managers to refine our processes for greater profitability, management of resources, and production.
- Communicate project progress to our customers interfaces.
- White line projects and call in 811 locates for preparation of construction.
- Regularly attend project related meetings with internal clients and the customer.
Construction Coordinator Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent work experience in Construction related field.
- Experience in Construction environment preferred
- Must be able to cross-train and work in a team environment
- Needs to be self-paced and able to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Knowledge of MS Teams, Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint needed.
- Must be able to work within deadlines and meet deliverables.
- Must have a valid Class C driver’s license
