What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Acquisition Manager position at HMSHost?
The purpose of the Talent Acquisition Manager is to partner with hiring managers across various disciplines to develop recruitment strategies and manage the full cycle recruiting process for positions at the corporate office. The role will partner with HR and hiring managers to create and deliver necessary recruiting-related training, tools, programs, and resources to improve talent attraction, selection, and candidate experience through the on-boarding process.
Essential Functions
- Performs full life cycle recruitment functions including creating requisitions, sourcing, screening, interviewing and hiring for corporate positions and other field-based leadership positions as assigned
- Develops sourcing pools of diverse and qualified candidates to staff current and future open positions that align with the organization’s talent strategy
- Supports candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive hiring experience
- Partner with HR to create, enhance and deliver on the pre-boarding and on-boarding process and experience for new hires
- Effectively uses recruitment methods and social media platforms to attract active and passive talent
- Develops and maintains a trusted relationship with senior executives and hiring managers at all levels at the corporate office
- Builds relationships with community-based organizations (ex. local universities, local professional associations) to establish the company’s presence in the local job market
- Build and manage relationships with talent vendors and agencies; manages vendor contracts, budgets and billing
- Collaborates and participates in the creation of necessary processes, training, tools and resources to support and enhance recruiting efforts; partner on talent acquisition training, including facilitation to large and small groups in person and via web
- Implements best practices to increase the quality of hires while reducing time to fill and recruitment spend
- Responsible for weekly requisition reporting and other business reports and metrics
- Collaborates with compensation and benefits teams on the upkeep of offer letter language and clauses and ensuring that offers accurately reflect the appropriate terms of employment; work with compensation on any needed market studies
- Collaborate with internal HR Legal Counsel to ensure that the company is always in compliance with state, local, and federal hiring laws
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Reporting relationship and other important information
- The position as described falls under the Fair Labor Standards act as an Exempt position
- The position reports to the Director of Human Resources with dotted line reporting to the Sr. Director of Organization Development & Learning and Talent Acquisition
- The position works in a highly matrixed environment; works highly independently at most times, but also works collaboratively on talent projects and large recruiting initiatives on an as-needed basis
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience in a corporate recruiting environment – with experience in the specific areas of IT and Finance strongly preferred
- Be well-versed in a variety of sourcing strategies that generate maximum applicant flow for corporate positions
- Demonstrated experience with talent acquisition systems, technology and search tools
- Experience with best in class recruiting processes, standards, and strategies
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; process improvement minded with the ability to participate in strategy deployment
- Flexible and responsive; ability to frequently switch between tasks and work at a fast pace
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate policies, procedures, and best practices to all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent listening skills; ability to listen carefully and ask relevant questions to understand the full needs of the hiring managers
- Effective at building and maintaining relationships and influencing when necessary; has a service-oriented mindset
- Proficient with technology and comfortable learning new things
- Requires ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
