What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at HNI Corporation?

What We Need :
We are looking for an Assembler to join our HBF team in Hickory, NC!
2nd shift : Mon-Thurs, 3PM-130AM
What You Will Do :
- Retrieve stock needed to build piece.
- Read tickets prior to building frames to verify options and apply to end piece
- Set up clamp (if applicable) on first piece and / or final assembly.
- Final assemble piece using hammer and / or proper amount of glue, applied neatly.
- May use staples, screws, and joint reinforcement blocks as required by company specifications. Make sure joints are closed tightly, individually checked for squareness.
- Properly clean off glue squeeze out.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area & wear all required PPE
What You Have :
Ability to consistently meet high quality / quantity performance standards
Must comply with company rules, regulations and safety practices
Requirements :
Pass pre-employment drug testing
Pass a 7-year criminal background check
High school diploma or GED is not required
