About the opportunity:
Hobart Service is seeking a highly organized, hardworking, and self-motivated dispatcher to join its team. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Branch Manager. The Dispatcher is responsible for communicating with technicians in order to create maximum efficiency, productivity, and customer interaction; serving as primary point of contact for customers. Selected candidates must be able to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering excellence in products and service; superior customer service and high standards for ethical conduct.
Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:
- Take Service Calls. Answer all incoming calls. Take customer requests. Gain a thorough understanding from a customer of the nature of the problem or request. Evaluate urgency. Prioritize requests. Enter service calls into the computer system.
- Dispatch Technicians. Match customer needs and/or locations to available service technicians. Contact technicians. Communicate customer requirements.
- Technician Information. Maintain contact with all technicians. Track technician locations and call progress. Record information received from technicians.
- Customer Service. Assist walk-in customers, contact customers regarding estimates for overhauls, new equipment pricing, and completing of services; to ensure complete customer satisfaction per company policy and guidelines.
- Clerical Duties. Maintain files, print and mail invoices, processed 3rd party billing, assist with tracking consignment, prepare quotes for repairs
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Accredited High School diploma, Business or trade school, or GED
- 1-2 years of dispatching experience
- Handle competing/multiple priorities
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, Outlook
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Required to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Extensive periods of time on the phone
- Lifting 50lbs with or without help
- OT as required
