Service Tech

Hodge’s Legacy RV is seeking applications for the following position:

Position: SERVICE TECH

Location: Hodge’s Legacy RV, Adams, NY

Classification: Commensurate with experience

Basic Function: The Service Tech will support the Service Manager to ensure that all units leaving the shop have been properly diagnosed, maintained, and repaired with an emphasis on attention-to-detail.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform all work assigned with attention to detail and quality in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Perform and complete work orders assigned by the owner and/or service manager. Keep communication open, as needed, in regards to needing additional parts and if the job is more intensive than originally quoted. Maintain tools and equipment while following proper safety procedures. Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance as assigned. Maintain professional relationships with customers, dealership personnel, and vendor representatives. Attends training and meetings as required. Adheres to Company Personnel Procedures. Performs other duties as requested by owner, David Hodge, and the service manager, Pam Fitzpatrick.

Qualifications: Someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and has a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and appliances. Driver’s license required. Ability to maintain confidentiality with co-workers, customers, peers, and general public. Highly accurate and organized attention to detail. Effective communication skills. Ability to maintain a positive, professional working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties, to include all other employees. Effective written and oral communication skills. Willing and able to travel as needed. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move 50 pounds. We are an equal opportunity employer.
