Full-time hours available:
1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) overtime and weekends as needed
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required:
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation (packing lists, bill of lading, damage claims)
- Support job rotation and work designated within assigned department(s)
- Check drivers in and out, while aiding warehouse personnel in locating materials
- Prioritize and coordinate trailer movement to and from unload/load docks and yard
- Unpack, examine, and/or route incoming shipments
- Reject damaged items and record shortages
- Ensure quantity, quality, and labeling of material for correct storage location
- Work with customers, suppliers and/or freight carriers to rectify damages, overages/shortages, and problem parts
- Assist preparing orders for shipment
- Schedule and ship orders to internal and external customers in most efficient manner
- Cross-check inventory accuracy with warehouse management system entries
- Utilize radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory
- Communicate effectively with peers, customer, suppliers, and leadership
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe & efficient manner as needed
- Comply with all OSHA and site-specific safety and PPE requirements
- Help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements
- Work toward continuous improvement
- Stay current with changing technology
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the Clerk must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill and ability required.
Education/Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma, GED or continuing education
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Tools)
Preferred:
Previous warehouse experience
SAP software experience/knowledge
