Job Summary

Unlicensed Optician with some management background. Applicant must have experience in all aspects of the optical business and optical sales. Salary will commensurate with experience. Need someone that takes personal ownership to obtain personal and practice results.

Responsibilities and Duties

Multitask. Check all jobs coming in, (needs to know how to use a manual lensometer) Help implement and maintain EHR. Optical sales, dispensing, and properly style and adjust frames for patients. Make repairs of frames and trouble shoot patients potential issues with frames. Keep up with inventory, making sure orders are placed correctly and accountable. Be able to navigate insurances. (Verify and collect properly). Billing indvidual insurances not just a mass portal is a plus. Help schedule appointments, answer phone calls. Be able to work up patients using, but not limited to autorefractor, NCT, Retina Camera and OCT. Opening and closing the facility. Making sure office appearance is maintained up to quality standards. Assist owners with all operational duties.

Qualifications and Skills

Team Player, Happy person but polite and firm when needed. Customer Service oriented with excellent communication skills. Needs to have experience in the optical industry (lensometer, styling, dispensing, troubleshooting and vision insurance knowledge for verifying, billing etc ) of at least 1 year. Have knowledge of computers and be willing to learn new computer skills. Dedicated and organized. Prompt and time conscious. Dependable, someone that shows up to work. Drama free. Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
