Overview
About the role:
To execute purchase to pay activities for purchases as pre-defined by Procurement Policies and Procedures (Buyways).
Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Review and assess requisitions to ensure information is meaningful and correct.
- Create the proper purchase order “type” according to the buy (utilities, services, capex, framework orders, etc.)
- Redirect requisitions to the proper channel as defined.
- Ensure bids and request for quotes are obtained according to policy.
- Manage parked PO invoices.
- Ensure standard payment terms are applied.
- Direct vendor creations, changes, deletions and extensions to the relevant Procurement Specialist for consideration.
- Identify opportunities to improve the P2P process.
- Become familiar with tax requirements and ensure proper use on purchase orders.
- Ensure proper use of PCS codes.
- Ensure the highest compliance to procurement strategies and procedures.
- Negotiate favorable process with suppliers for local agreements.
- Procure the right materials and services at the lowest total cost of ownership and have them available when needed.
- Be the main point of contact for data collection for information requested by the procurement manager.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
- Provide advice and assistance with Managers and Supervisors of various departments to ensure product, goods and services are secured in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
We're looking for:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESRequired Education: Associates/Technical DegreeAdditional Education Preferred: Bachelor's/Undergraduate DegreeField of Study Preferred: Finance/Accounting, Purchasing Techniques.Required Work Experience: 3-5 yearsRequired Computer and Software Skills: SAP experience preferred or a similar purchasing program. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer program skills.Travel Requirements: 10-15%
