Overview
About the role:
The Health & Safety Analyst will work under the direction of the Sr. Regional H&S Manager and contribute as part of the US Health and Safety Department. The Health & Safety Analyst will perform detailed health and safety data analysis to support decision making and drive goals within the company. The Health & Safety Analyst will provide support and expertise to the US Health & Safety Department, Senior Management, and operations to assist in reducing risk exposure, defining actions to mitigate risk, analyzing H&S data for trends. The Health & Safety Analyst will provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
- Manage and facilitate HSE systems as country administrator: Incident management system, Learning Management System (LMS) training system for employees and contractors, company based applications.
- Data management and extraction of weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly data from various systems for distribution at US level, drilled down to individual site level.
- Supports HSE programs: Reward & Recognition, Safety Campaigns, HSE Communications
- Help drive HSE objectives and targets through data analysis and dashboards
- Creating and building data analytics: Dashboards, graphs, charts, templates
- Tracks and reports on performance issues to drive data integrity and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in the Learning Management System (Convergence LMS) Committee for direction and implementation of the LMS system for all employees.
- Manage employee facing intranet H&S site to provide comprehensive and current resources for all U.S. employees
- Supports H&S communications and awareness campaigns
- Successful operational improvement and project implementation
- Troubleshooting H&S system issues: web based application and digital apps
- Provide ad hoc analysis and project support as needed
- Support company in defining and prioritizing the actions to implement long-term country and site H&S goals and initiatives to align with company strategy.
- Compile, process and analyze large volumes of data and interpret that information to drive business decisions
Relationships with other jobs:
- Work closely with: health and safety professionals, area Logistics professionals, risk management, learning and development, communications
- Interface frequently with: US Health & Safety Department, Senior Management, operations and Global Health & Safety
Qualifications
We're looking for:
Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master's/Graduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business or related field required
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years of analytical work experience within the functions of health and safety or risk management
Required Computer and Software Skills: Strong PC user application skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, data analytics
Travel Requirements: 5- 10%
