Holcim (US) Inc. seeks a Manager Area Cement in Bloomsdale, MO to provide leadership for all aspects of the cement plant, including organization design, hiring, training, erection supervision, drawing reviews, system development, and optimization of the plant. The person’s responsibilities will include the following: - Serve as a visible leader and unwavering support for company safety, health, and environmental policies. - Be a key senior member of plant staff/leadership team whose responsibilities include helping determine improvement opportunities and setting achievable goals for the site while simultaneously leading efforts towards these goals and improvements on a department area level. - Implement a coordinated approach to preparing all employees within process area to safely operate and maintain the cement plant. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. - Be accountable for management and overall results within process area based on defined KPI´s. This includes development of area budgets, capital requirements, major maintenance projects and implementation plans. -Create, plan, organize and execute short and long range objectives to ensure continued departmental efficiency and effectiveness. - Use company systems, such as MAC, SAP, PMA, CBM, etc., to optimize overall equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance. -Support, demonstrate and facilitate the concepts of development and involvement of employees, continuous learning and continuous improvement in a values based high performance organization. - Be accountable for providing leadership, development and coaching on individual performance to direct reports to achieve business results. This position does not entail travel and is not a work-from-home position.
Qualifications:
The position of Manager Area Cement requires a Bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, plus 5 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related engineering position within a cement plant.
Additionally, the applicant must have the following number of years of experience with each of the following:
- 3 years: Conducting refractory selection and installation in a leadership capacity;
- 5 years: With Kiln and Mill operations;
- 2 years: Managing cement plant workers; and
- 1 year: Engaging in cement plant shutdown planning and execution.
