The Shuttle Driver will transport up to 20 hotel guests to and from the airport and other requested and assigned locations. Assist arriving and departing guests by opening and closing doors for incoming and outgoing guests, loading and unloading guest luggage from courtesy van.
 
 
  • Driving hotel guests to and from the airport and other assigned trips, obeying all traffic rules and regulations constantly throughout shift to ensure a safe, accident-free trip.
  • Assist guest with storage and retrieving their luggage from the van
  • Must be punctual in attendance and strictly maintain timing schedules.
  • Maintain the hotel van; gas, oil, cleanliness; filling in daily van reports and reporting any malfunctions on a daily basis.
  • Van/Shuttle driver must document all fuel intakes and trip destinations.
  • A van/shuttle driver must be honest and reliable to his/her employers and should be friendly to his/her passengers.
  • He/she should undertake full responsibility for the security and safety of passengers/goods during transport.
  • Maintains lobby in a clean and tidy manner; this includes, trash, seating areas, front doors, floors, etc.
  • Other and all duties, projects, and tasks as assigned by employee’s manager.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and or ability required.
 
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and understand and follow verbal instruction.
  • Must have vision ability see objects and people at a distance.
  • A shuttle driver must be calm and controlled person and should always avoid rash driving.
  • He needs to have sound judgment and make quick decisions when amidst difficult situations like ill patient and bad weather.
  • Should have good physical strength and fitness, especially if his job requires a lot of loading/unloading work.
  • Shuttle drivers must possess valid driver’s license.
  • They must have good driving records.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
