We are looking for an Accountant to personally manage all day to day financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. Additionally, responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information for a condominium HOA and their in-house Rental Program. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations. We are looking for someone to work closely with our management team and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities
- Perform accounting and bookkeeping duties in QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly Financial Statement
- Track, monitor and manage Vendor invoices
- Process accounts payable/receivable
- Process Vendor invoices and pay by check or ACH weekly
- Process Owners statements and pay by ACH monthly
- Process and make deposits for Owners HOA assessments (monthly & special)
- Maintain historical records by saving invoices and other documents as digital files and/or filing physical documents
- Reconcile multiple Credit Card accounts
- Handle all banking needs for the association, such as, bank reconciliations, transferring funds, deposits, etc.
- Prepare & Pay Sales Taxes
- Prepare annual 1099 statements
- Ensure Federal and Tangible Property taxes are filed on time
- Process payroll (through ACH) bi-weekly
- Assist Property General Manager and HOA Treasurer in building Annual Budget
- Monitor and manage multiple budgets including HOA, Rental, & Reserves.
- Monitor cash flow position at all times and prepare analysis for presentation to the Finance Committee and HOA Board of Directors as needed.
- Work with General Manager to identify and collect the estopple amount for a property transfer
- Assist staff in answering overflow phone calls and taking customer payments
- Answer phone for accounting questions from Customers and Condo Owners
- Filing, scanning and saving digital files and maintaining all accounting records
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports including Budget vs. Actuals Variance Analysis Report; Balance Sheet
- Coordinate, facilitate and complete annual audits
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Support staff with administrative and office tasks
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Skills
- Work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with HOA and Rental Program Accounting

Education
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance, and/or commensurate experience (Required)
