What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician / Optometry Assistant / Ophthalmic Assistant position at Holland Eye Clinic?

We are looking for someone that is compassionate and friendly with a great sense of humor and passion for patient care to join us as at Holland Eye Clinic. We expect a busy but unrushed and happy environment, putting patient needs first.
Previous experience is not required- patient care/medical care preferred but we will train the right person.
This position will include any/all of the following
- Assist patients in collecting history, taking visual acuity, measuring visual function and assisting the doctor with patient care. Diagnostic testing including OCT, Visual Field, Fundus Camera, Auto-refractor/Keratometer and Lensometry (all new and user friendly, easily trained systems) and anticipating patient and doctors needs. Keeping a positive vibe in a busy but happy environment.
Requirements:
- Experience in patient care preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing systems or software would be appreciated
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Attention to detail with the ability to anticipate
- Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment while maintaining coordination of care
