What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly technician position at Holley?
Detroit Speed and Engineering is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team in Mooresville, NC. The Assembly Technician performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products.
The position follows standard work methods and practices safe working habits.
Key Job Elements (Essential Functions Performed) :
- Performs work orders as assigned by department supervisor.
- Cuts, clips, hooks or otherwise assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Place finished goods on the cart to be sent to the packing and shipping department.
- Completes monthly safety training per company policy.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Education / Experience required) :
- Results-oriented with sense of urgency to in a fast-paced environment.
- Has time-management skills to complete deadline sensitive projects.
- Team player and able to work independently on projects.
- Knowledge of best business practices.
- Strong manufacturing industry knowledge.
- High School Diploma Required
- At least five years of mechanical / assembly experience preferred.
Physical Requirements :
The team member is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneels, crouch or crawl, use hands to feel objects and type on keyboard or work controls / tools.
The team member must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.
