SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW Follows, embraces and is a proponent of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures and work instructions.  Provide supervision to employees within the organization involved with quality related matters.  Works with management to create and maintain documentation and records in support of the QMS (e.g.: PPAP/GQTS, IMDS, NAFTA, Material Certs, QMS certificates from HDS suppliers, equipment maintenance and calibration, document control, nonconforming product control, Customer complaints, etc.).  Interacts with suppliers, customers, HDS management and peers regarding quality related issues.   Performs receiving inspection, dock audit, and product testing as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES §  Provide supervision over the Quality Clerical Assistant in all aspects of their job assignments. §  Participates in resolving quality issues with Customers and vendors/suppliers. §  Creates new Test Plans and performs receiving inspection if needed. §  Assists in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities as needed. §  Acknowledges Customer specific Quality requirements and works with the Quality Manger to define those requirements in the HDS QMS processes as applicable. §  Obtains temporary deviation(s) and/or concessions for products from customer(s) when required. §  Ensures records are maintained pertaining to receiving inspection (Test Plan results), dock audit, PPAP submission and Interim approvals. §  Maintains records of temporary deviations, measuring equipment and calibration, internal / external QMS audits, Corrective/Preventive Actions, Reject Tags and others as needed tin support of the HDS QMS. §  Participates in the planning and hosting of internal and external QMS audits. §  Attends training sponsored and/or supported by the company. §  Participates in problem solving initiatives resulting from Customer claims and opportunities for process improvement. §  Keeps management updated regarding all aspects of job assignments. §  Performs other duties as assigned.             SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS (List specific skills required but not defined in Dimensions) §  Associates degree or equivalent work experience §  3 years of experience in quality field. §  Excellent verbal and written communication skills §  Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail §  Ability to work in a team environment
