SoFi Stadium, the new home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, is located at Hollywood Park, a 298-acre sports and entertainment destination being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke in Inglewood, California. The 3.1 million square-foot SoFi Stadium is the largest stadium in the NFL, as well as the first indoor/outdoor stadium. It seats approximately 70,000, expandable up to 100,000, with more than 260 luxury suites and more than 13,000 premium seats. SoFi Stadium has already secured Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the College Football National Championship Game in 2023, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic Games in 2028.
SUMMARY:
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will serve as a champion of innovation and growth for SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, which includes 298-acre mixed-use development featuring retail, commercial office space, a hotel, residential units, and outdoor park spaces. The CTO will coordinate company wide technology strategies to deliver a frictionless fan experience and to drive efficiencies for all site-wide objectives. This position is based in Inglewood, California and report to the Managing Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and communicate technology strategies that support Hollywood Park’s development and future growth.
- Oversee all aspects of the company's technology requirements including operational support, infrastructure maintenance, software development, production pipeline support, post-production, information security and software and hardware purchases.
- Provide technical leadership to all areas of the district including creative development, infrastructure, production and operations to identify technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead strategy and execution of Hollywood Park’s connected city vision.
- Assist in the on-going development and execution of the integrated app strategy for Hollywood Park and its venues.
- Maintain safety and security of Hollywood Park’s digital intellectual property.
- Direct research on leading edge technologies and make determinations on the impact to efficiency and creativity as well as feasibility of implementation.
- Manage key partner relationships
- Serve as a thought leader for the Hollywood Park Tech Alliance
- Coordinate with NFL, Rams and Chargers leadership, to ensure that technology solutions and services support game day goals.
- Balance budget responsibility with technology capability to ensure ROI of technology investments and revenue generation.
- Maintain close relationships with software and hardware partners to leverage and influence technology roadmaps and partner alliance activities
- Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
- Strong industry acumen relationships
- Strong writing and presentation skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15 years of project management and leadership experience
- Experience working with a major cloud vendor to maximize business objectives and strengthening partnership relationships
- Demonstrated IT technical experience in mixed use developments or entertainment venues
- Keen understanding of digital broadcast technology
- Proven experience bringing to life large infrastructure projects
- Proven experience managing, building and developing a team
- Experience in start-up environment with a rapidly evolving technology stack is a plus
