Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Performs highly diversified duties to install, repair and maintain production equipment, vehicles and machines and the plant facility’s fixtures and equipment.
· Responds to troubleshooting-calls on all types of equipment and vehicles and applies a high level of cause/effect analysis for breakdown troubleshooting.
· Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, vehicles and machines.
· Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and adjusts.
· Performs diagnostic and root cause analysis for all unscheduled breakdown events to prevent reoccurrence.
· Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, vehicles, equipment and plant facilities.
· Performs a variety of plumbing and electrical maintenance and carpentry and welding functions.
· Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
· Detects faulty operations, defective material and reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
· Operates a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel.
· Moves controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks or carts and transports materials and equipment throughout warehouse and perimeters of facility.
· Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to perform repair, service and maintenance functions for building and equipment.
· Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
· Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
· Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
· Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
· Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
· Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

· Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
· Experience: Two (2 ) years related experience; one (1) year forklift experience.
· Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills.
· Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver’s License; Forklift Certification Preferred
