Job Summary: The Procurement Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership by supporting procurement practices throughout the enterprise. In coordination with the Procurement Director, the Procurement Manager plans and executes procurement fundamentals that demonstrate value. This role is a resource for the Procurement Team, Stakeholders, and Others in support of company objectives.

This includes supplier contract reviews and negotiations, category schedule management, reporting and analytics, maintenance and user support for the Procurement System(s), administrative activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position develops, maintains, and interacts with a variety of departments, levels, and external suppliers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Mgmt, Finance/Accounting, or other similar degree program required
  • Ten years of experience in Procurement or related field required
  • Eight years of Contracts Review, RFxs, and Project Management required
  • Three years experience managing a team of direct reports required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with the application of Procurement fundamentals and practices, RFx Process, Contract Lifecycle Management, Contracting Language, Contract Reviews and Negotiations
  • Ability to think logically while interpreting and analyzing problems assigned or encountered
  • Ability to identify complex problems, research, guide, and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Positive attitude and aptitude toward continuous learning
  • Excellent verbal, written, collaborative, and proactive communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build enterprise relationships with leaders at all job levels
  • Proactive, self-motivated style to drive Procurement best practices in processes
  • Exceptional organizational, self-management, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Initiate recommended paths forward and see them through to completion

Essential Functions:

  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
  • Provides support to the Procurement team by guiding the progression of unmanaged categories of spend to managed and improving managed categories using sound qualitative, quantitative, and collaborative value add Procurement practices
  • Guides the RFx process to support productive outcomes, reviewing contracts and recommending what and how to negotiate, conducting supplier meetings and reviews, and acting as a point of escalation internally and externally
  • Manages category review schedule and proactively analyzes categories and supporting contracts to identify areas of opportunity
  • Provides leadership and support to continuous improvement initiatives to include standardization of Procurement practices, maintenance of standard operating procedures, training and assisting others with Procurement processes and related activities
  • Provides support and maintenance for Procurement system(s) to include implementation support, training and assisting users, improving data capture and maintenance, and reviewing and approving POs
  • Provides backup support to the Procurement Team as needed
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel:

  • Up to 15% with the possibility of overnight stay required
  • Valid Driver’s license required
