Holtec Security International is currently seeking a Supv, Access Authorization/FFD at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert Michigan.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs the site's access and fitness for duty program field activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, and industry regulations. Responsible for supervision of Access Authorization staff.
- Reviews and adjudicates derogatory background information, arrests, and criminal history.
- Responsible for making final decisions on granting or denying unescorted access.
- Interfaces with applicable personnel to in-process new employees, contract employees, and outage personnel.
- Communicates Access/FFD information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
- Directs day to day activities in AA/FFD/Medical group.
EDUCATION, LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Desired: AA or BS degree in Criminal Justice or other discipline generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent work experience.
- Desired: Supervisory experience
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Technical understanding of nuclear plant access and FFD process and systems.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to understand and effectively react to situations of adversity with people and resolve them with tact, diplomacy and courtesy.
