Emergency Shelter Manager

Full Time | $62,400
As an Emergency Shelter Manager at Holy Cross Services you will be responsible for supporting participants who are homeless. This includes helping to ensure the program model is clear and implemented correctly, that personnel are trained and supported to promote overall well-being and recovery, and that all participants in the unit receive effective evidence-based services. This position provides supervision, coaching and modeling for staff and participants.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with all members of the Shelter team to provide unified treatment approach and ensure overall team success in all areas of treatment, documentation, and compliance.
- Conduct screenings/evaluations, assessments, intakes, and treatment plan development.
- Teach, model, practice, support, and articulate the Agency treatment philosophy and/or other information that may be required contractually.
- Submit necessary paperwork to inform or provide information for agency reports and to maintain licenses and contract obligations
- Provide 24-hour crisis on call availability to treatment team on an as needed basis.
- Continue professional development to support evidence-based service delivery and licensure as needed.
- Oversee the implementation and fidelity of designated Evidenced Based practices in addressing homelessness.
- Connect directly with participants and maintains visibility/accessibility for program residents, families, and personnel.
- Monitor team performance and provides corrective training, systems development, and personnel development to ensure programmatic excellence. This includes but may not be limited to:
- Weekly individual supervision for all direct reports, including a review of each report’s supervision of their teams
- Monthly Group Supervision for Direct Reports
- Participating in and executing quarterly quality reviews/continuous quality improvement
- Participating in weekly House Meetings
- Uphold an unwavering trauma-informed approach to service delivery and design.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff scheduling for the assigned units, and directly scheduling personnel in the event assigned leadership is unable to coordinate personnel
- Responsible monitoring of Paycor activities and performance reviews for all direct reports and ensuring the completion of reviews for all indirect reports.
- Ensure all staff are following agency policies, site procedures, and treatment plans of clients.
- Provide timely review and response to program referrals
- Conduct periodic case or program audits to confirm program quality
- Ensure all direct and indirect personnel receive required training
- Provide timely review and approval of reports, service plans, and other assessments
- Mentor personnel for professional growth
- Provide adequate leadership in licensing and investigation reports
- May be required to work shifts on an as needed basis.
- Perform other duties related to the essential duties of the position and within the individual’s capabilities as assigned by one’s supervisor.
Qualifications:
- LBSW, BSW, BA in Social Science or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Lived experience in homelessness strongly preferred.
