What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Nurse Needed in Nursing Home position at Holy Spirit Retirement Home?
Have you heard of us? Holy Spirit Retirement Home is a small, non-profit retirement home. We were built in the 1960s, and offer senior citizens an Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care Unit, and Skilled Nursing Facility. Holy Spirit Retirement Home proudly provides care behind a Catholic background. We offer daily mass, a priest on facility, and members of our Sisters Religious who provide spiritual guidance to our residents. This makes us an ideal location for those who wish to practice their faith openly!
Like many retirement and nursing homes in America, Holy Spirit has faced it’s challenges due to the pandemic, and nursing shortage crisis. Our employees and leadership teams stayed strong, and banded together to keep our doors open while so many others continued to close. We remain steadfast, although we are quiet, peaceful, and have a low census in our facilities. Our nurses have a 1:17 average resident ratio, while our aides have a 1:10 average resident ratio.
Holy Spirit is a great place to work! We have raised our pay for the nursing department three times in less than two years, remaining extremely competitive in the market. We also offer a fantastic benefits package (we haven’t increased our premiums since 2021) and continue to look for ways to recognize and reward our staff.
At Holy Spirit, we see you. We will see how hard the staff works. You are not just a staff member to help us meet a quota. You are the Holy Spirit. But to continue to be great, and keep our doors open for another 60 years, we need your help:
We are in desperate need of nursing staff for our residents.
We are hiring for full-time day-shift LPN or RN.

While we are looking for full-time, we will also work with part-time availability. We are not accepting PRN at this time.

All of our FT employees receive our health and dental benefits, as well as 401k with 6% matching at their 6 month mark, and $50k in life insurance for free. We offer supplemental insurance through Aflac, and an FSA/HSA depending on the health care plan you choose.
Both our FT and PT employees earn PTO!
We really want to invest in you! Holy Spirit Retirement Home offers 100% tuition reimbursement, when standard qualifications are met. CNAs can become CMAS, or an LPN can become an RN. We also offer work on the floor as a Resident Care Assistant while you get your CNA certification!
