Job Description
Homans Associates (HA) is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC / R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc.
We proudly distribute the Mitsubishi Electric brand of HVAC equipment, as well as a full line of HVAC residential and commercial parts, supplies, and accessories.
We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We currently have an opening for Mitsubishi M&P Product Specialist in our Connecticut market.
There is no relocation assistance offered for this position.
As a Mitsubishi M&P Product Specialist, you will build and foster strong customer relationships within the region by designing strategies specifically tailored to current and prospective customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop strategies and conduct sales meetings with existing Diamond Contractors in our network, as well as prospect new clients for continued growth in the Ductless market.
- Conduct Sales meetings, training for clients, and be an available resource for M&P sales opportunities.
- Be an expert in your market on the M&P residential product line.
- Achieve or exceed territory sales budget as well as contributing additional sales to help achieve overall regional sales budgets.
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's delivery schedules.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts along with providing information to help with the proper sales and application of the residential product line.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries and products.
- Attends trade shows.
- Supports existing Territory Managers with their Diamond Contractor accounts.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associate degree (A. from two-year college or technical school.
- Minimum of three (3) years Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Wholesale Distribution Sales experience.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC equipment, parts supplies and accessories service and installation.
- Professional speaking and written communication style
- Existing knowledge of the M&P Series product line a plus.
- Ability to speak in front of a group to conduct training.
- Must have the ability to negotiate transactions on an intra- and inter-company level.
- Must possess the ability to mediate situations among customers as they arise.
- Must have a desire to grow personally and professionally.
- Must be a team player with a desire to serve and add value internally and externally for the organization and its clients.
