The HR Assistant is responsible for recruitment and retention of staff
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Director and/or Assist Director.
Works closely with office assistant.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma.
Preferred: Community College/Business College course work.
Experience: Entry level acceptable, prefer 2 years experience in HR or educational equivalent; caregiving experience.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities: Ability to communicate with staff, clients, and members of the community; must be able to work independently; must have computer skills; writing skills preferred.
Physical: Sitting, standing, and walking. Use of hands, arms, legs, eyes, and voice. Must be able to bend and lift for filing purposes.
Mental: Requires excellent communication skills with the ability to problem solve on a daily basis, and coordinate numerous activities at the same time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment functions such as placing ads, processing of all applications to be considered for employment which includes setting up interview and orientation dates; screen applicants via criminal background/driver license checks, verifying registration and/or certification with the WA State Dept. of Health, reference checks.
Oversee orientation and onboarding process.
Track and ensure that all caregivers are staying in compliance with requirements and trainings with the support of the office assistant.
Maintain all files for active and inactive employees
Maintain and update caregiver phone lists.
Assist with the distribution of paychecks, educational materials, newsletter, and any other attachments on payday.
Track and record all mandated HR requirements of caregivers. Distribute monthly notification slips regarding out of compliance requirements.
Update HR requirements in WellSky
Generate monthly out of compliance reports for case management.
To ensure that state regulations and company policy are being met as they relate to required documentation and maintenance of caregiver personnel files.
Head up the Safety committee and review all incident reports.
Handle L&I claim tracking and paperwork as well as respond to requests for unemployment claims, employment verification, income verification, etc.
Close out caregiver personnel files upon termination/resignation. Break down file.
Complete caregiver evaluations when needed with input from Case Mgmt staff.
Provide phone support to the office
Provide scheduling support when needed
Provide support to our caregiver team as needed.
Be available to assist all departments with various duties, responsibilities and data entry.
Other duties, as assigned by the Director.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
