What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver - 1st Shift position at Home Chef?
Overview
Receivers will ensure the accuracy of all products received into the facility. They are responsible for the completion of all receiving transactions, reporting any discrepancies to preclude disruptions to production or financial issues at billing processing.
Responsibilities
Receiving:
- Ensure the purchase orders and inbound deliveries scheduled for the day are printed and prepare the receiving board.
- Liaison with the carrier at delivery and enforce scheduling compliance.
- Ensure that product being delivered from vendors meets the purchase order placed by procurement in description, quality, shelf life, and quantity.
- Navigate WMS to ensure each pallet’s information has been completed accurately as this populates all reports involving every item received
- Report all discrepancies to procurement and warehouse leadership for permission to receive or reject, as applicable.
- Ensure all unique SKUs are palletized separately and label each pallet with appropriate license plate on bottom right corner per receiving SOPs and ensure assigned to correct temperature zone
- Receive in Netsuite as applicable
- Ensure discrepancies are reported per local receiving process
- Complete review of all product expected but not received and inform receiving leadership and procurement teams to reschedule or close out purchase order
- Report all deliveries from outside carriers that are non-production items to ensure these are delivered to the intended recipient.
- Execute all vendor returns
Organize Warehouse:
- Keep the docks clean, organized and free of all debris
- Manage donation and resell product weekly
- Assist with weekly insert and recipe card transitions
- Fill out waste tracking form as needed
- Assist with warehouse organization if receiving and all receiving tasks are completed
Support other Warehouse functions:
- We are one team and it is expected that we assist with other warehouse functions as needed
General Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety procedures throughout execution of all tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, performing pre-shift equipment checks for all equipment used and wearing required PPE. Safety first!
- Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility.
- Sign for all equipment needed to perform your duties. Ensure these are signed back in upon completion of shift.
- Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs. Quality always!

Qualifications
- General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED).
- Attention to detail is critical for this role.

Hourly Range: $18.50 - $25
Salary : $19 - $25
