What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Caregiver position at Home Instead Senior Care?
In addition to working as a caregiver, the Lead CAREGiver serves as a counselor, guide, coach, and mentor in a long-term, ongoing relationship with caregivers. Lead CAREGiver will provide client support through Quality Assurance activities in efforts to improve client retention. As the face of Home Instead in the community, this team member must demonstrate our core value, Love(v), in all interactions with internal and external customers and staff: Patience, kindness, humility, selflessness, respectfulness, forgiveness, honesty and commitment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the elderly with daily living activities in the person's home or in a facility
- May include house keeping, preparing meals, medication reminders, transportation, dementia care and ADL's.
- Ease the challenge of aging by encouraging clients to continue enjoying the comforts of home.
- Immediately report changes in client's needs or living conditions. Regularly communicate with office staff.
- Demonstrate an accurate understanding of company policies and upholds them consistently while showing enthusiasm for and interest in assigned roles.
- Teaches/re-educates CAREGivers about company policies and helps develop/maintain the skills of CAREGivers.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities such as introductions and supervisory visits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $15.75 per hour
