Job Description
Home Instead Louisville provides a variety of in-home care services allowing clients to remain in their homes and live their best life in the face of aging. Compact CAREPros serve in the capacity of “On Call” CAREPros during the daytime hours and manage a schedule of clients Monday through Friday typically between 8am-5pm. It is the responsibility of the Compact CAREPro to communicate daily with their assigned supervisor and/or manager to ensure both continuity of care and effective communication. The Compact CAREPro will be available for at least 25 hours per week and be available for other assignments in and out of the office when their Compact schedule has openings. This may include caring for clients outside of the Compact program. When their Compact schedule has openings, the Compact CAREPro is required to communicate this with their assigned coordinator or manager, and they are to report back to their assigned office location when time allows. In the event a cancellation occurs, the Compact CAREPro is to notify the scheduling team or compact coordinator immediately. Clients may live in a Nursing or Assisted Living Facility rather than a private home. When assigned to a facility, the Compact CAREPro may be required to provide care as supplement staff to the facility and may be assisting multiple residents in one shift as needed by the facility. For their “On Call” availability, the Part Time Compact CAREPro will receive a guaranteed 25-hour weekly payment except in instances of unscheduled and scheduled time off. Part Time Compact CAREPros have the option to work over their scheduled 25 hours with the approval of the Compact Coordinator and the Compact GM. Compact clients are required to pay an additional holiday fee for scheduled care that falls on a holiday. If the client chooses to pay the fee, and requests care for that holiday, the Compact CAREPro will be responsible for covering that shift unless approved by the compact coordinator or compact manager. Part Time Compact CAREPro’s are deemed Key Players.
**Compact CAREPro’s will be required to drive their own vehicle and will be responsible for documenting mileage in WellSky for reimbursement (currently 0.67/per mile). Mileage can be accrued between the first and last client of the day. This includes errands run for the client and any travel to the office that is required. Travel to the first client, from the last client, or travel for lunch is NOT to be submitted for reimbursement. The Compact Coordinator will train staff on proper documentation of mileage.**
