We are based in Norwood, Massachusetts, which is comfortably within the Boston metropolitan area. OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The Retail Sales Analyst will provide sales support to the Eastern Division Retail Sales & Marketing Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform monthly and ad hoc sales reporting in the areas of sales trends, sales forecasting, demand planning
- Utilize syndicated data to isolate success stories, opportunities for improvement and recommend corrective actions as needed for assigned accounts
- Monitor promotional execution, performance and recommend action plans for improvement
- Analyze and track distribution gaps and recommend solutions for improvement
- Manage sales forecast and promotion inputs in AFS across identified customers
- Assists in deduction management process for assigned accounts
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years of related experience in CPG category management, business analyst, and/or operations roles
- Proficient in sales analysis, replenishment, forecasting, and inventory management is required
- Must be self-motivated, possess excellent organization skills, and able to manage multiple competing and shifting priorities and deadlines with a desire to learn
- Experience working with trade funds management systems
- Understanding of category management and trade spending principles
- Experience with accessing and analyzing syndicated data (i.e. IRI, Nielsen)
- Strong track record of performing detailed analysis and business-building recommendations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate internally
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced, small team environment
- Highly Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field
