Representative Payee Manager

The Representative Payee Manager will oversee the management of HomeStart’s housing resources and services including our permanent supportive housing and representative payee programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and provide supervision to a team of 3-4 reports including representative payees.
  • Oversee Representative Payee program to ensure quality services and ensure compliance with applicable Social Security policies and regulations.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of main and client sub accounts
  • Ensure uncleared checks are accounted for
  • Ensure monthly review of accounts to identify unauthorized/incorrect transfers
  • Ensure Payee coverage when needed to ensure all beneficiaries have access to bank balances and can put in request for extra funds if available (this also includes ability to write checks).
  • Ability to step in and resolve disputes from clients over accounts or issues with money management
  • Keep accurate and up to date records of each Payee’s passwords for all online banking account log on user name and passwords along with any other online accounts used for payee clients such as Amazon, Peapod, etc.
  • Order and track all Cashier Check orders from Inuit for each Representative Payee.
  • Ensure meeting annual total served and outcome goals
  • Complete accurate and timely reporting requirements
  • Support all staff in meeting program requirements (data entry, file maintenance, etc)
  • Act as liaison and reference point for social security, funders, landlords and partner agencies.
  • Work closely with the Leasing, Housing First and Stabilization Departments to provide effective and seamless services.
  • Provide crisis management for client-related and/or agency-related issues.
  • Ensure all file and administrative documentation is correct.

Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
