Whispering Pines Senior Living Facility in Cadillac is hiring a flexible cook to also work as a server. Do you like to know you made a difference? Join our team! This is a part time position, no late nights!

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning the kitchen and dining room
• Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
• Menu planning, prep and prepare meals for residents using standardized recipes
• Must have experience cooking entire meals in larger quantities (20 meals) and serve safe certified preferred, but not required
• Plate and serve meals promptly and efficiently, presenting food in an appealing and appetizing manner
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and replenishing supplies as needed
• Delivering room service trays
• Transporting residents to and from the dining room
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, following health department regulations and facility policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Able to lift 50 pounds
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of basic computer operations
• A positive attitude and the capacity to work as a team
• Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• The ability to arrive on time for every shift
• Every other weekend is required
