Head Teller
Department: Retail Banking
Reports To: Retail Banking Officer
Supervises: CSR/Teller Staff
Specific Job Functions:
· Provides high level of customer service through the process of greeting and thanking customers by name in addition to accurately processing transactions
· Supervises and provides guidance to teller staff
· Performs normal teller duties on a daily basis which includes accepting deposit and loan payments, cashing checks, selling negotiable instruments, etc.…
· Knowledgeable about Bank products/services and proactively cross-sells to existing and prospective customers
· Provides on-the-job training for tellers on an as-needed basis
· Monitor’s tellers to ensure compliance with financial institution procedures and policies
· Issues written and oral instructions on teller operations as necessary
· Assists teller in locating cash discrepancies, manages unusual window transactions, and answers difficult customer questions.
· Opens new accounts and safe deposit boxes
· Performs a variety of customer service transactions, such as account holds, stop-payment orders, check orders, etc.…
· Orders ATM/Debit cards, pulls monthly statement and check copies as necessary
· Assist customers with resets for on-line banking or bill payment accounts
· Research customer disputes and completes appropriate paperwork for any unauthorized transactions.
· Monitors, tracks, and provides guidance for teller regarding sales activity.
· Provides sales reports on teller operations to supervisor on a weekly basis
· Ensures all areas are clean, organized and staff is working in efficient manner.
· Audits the vault, teller drawers, ATM, money orders, cashier checks and test alarms on a monthly basis
· Order’s cash and other items necessary for Branch to ensure all teller stations are adequately stocked and ready for any shift changes or closing.
· Create schedule to ensure adequate coverage for Branch
· Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
