Summary of Position: The Collection Specialist is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from existing customer base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; some college preferred
Experience: Data Entry, One (1) year collections, insurance billing or telemarketing experience preferred
Skills: Excellent organization and time management, Excellent Written and Verbal Skills; Good interpersonal and communication skills; Good Judgement; Attention to detail and good-record-keeping
Requirements: General knowledge of insurance billing; medical terminology; knowledge of software packages and computer related to position
Physical: Required to sit and use hands to finger, handle and feel. Regularly required to talk or hear and see.
