HOURS:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (185-day calendar with summers off)
COMPENSATION:
Minimum $17.00/hour
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a safe and secure campus including the buildings and grounds, enforce the school code of conduct, and work cooperatively with school community.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the school building and grounds. Direct students who are in the building prior to the start of school into the cafeteria between 7:30 and 8:05 a.m.
- Monitor the arrival and departure of buses.
- Maintain radio contact with the deans and other security personnel. Check in the dean’s office during regular intervals during the day.
- During class periods, monitor the buildings and supervise students in common areas of the school.
- Identify persons on the campus who have legitimate business and escort them to the security desk for sign-in procedures.
- During the lunch hour, monitor appropriate corridors and exits, and supervise students.
- Work cooperatively with the Deans’ Office to assist students and teachers.
- Between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. monitor the building for unsupervised students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working with high school students in a supervision capacity
- Good written and oral communication skills, including deescalating situations
- Available on nights and weekends periodically
- Enjoys working with young adults
