General Summary:
Perform inspections of Flight Test R&D aircraft based on Flight Test Work Orders (FTWOs). Releases Flight Test aircraft for flight by performing Pre, Post, and Thru flight inspections. Perform company inspection of the flight test aircrafts to support accomplishment of FAA conformity activity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform inspections of completed tasks in accordance with FTWO instructions.
2. Perform inspections primarily of installations to determine Flight Test aircraft are in compliance with approved design data and in a condition for safe operation as part of aircraft release for flight process and to support FAA certification activities.
3. Witness the performance of functional checks and return to service activities of various aircraft systems when accomplished on Flight Test aircraft.
4. Identify, document, and track discrepancies using SAP
5. Communicate Quality matters during attendance at Flight Readiness Reviews and briefings.
6. Understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work procedures.
7. Ability work any shift and weekends, as well as travel in support of offsite operations as required.
8. Assist in assuring compliance for the HACI OMS, current FAA and/or FAR requirements and the company policy.
9. Assist in the development of plans to improve quality.
10. Demonstrate on a day to day basis; an understanding of company values and goals with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
11. Promote, encourage, and participate in positive and open communication.
12. Observe existing safety regulations.
13. Use a variety of inspection aids, and precision testing and measurement equipment such as ohmmeters, output meters, flashlights and mirrors, calipers, feeler gauges, micrometers, etc. as necessary to determine proper adjustment and operation of aircraft systems.
14. Cooperative behavior and a helpful attitude.
15. Use of computers to include Excel, Word, SAP, Team Center.
16. Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
17. Support other activities as required by company requirements and management direction.
Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
1. High School Diploma required.
2. Associate Degree or higher preferred.
3. Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
4. General computer proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP
