The SETS Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) organization is looking for an experienced Electrical Test Engineer who will be accountable for designing, building, deploying, and supporting test equipment solutions used to program, to verify, and to configure the electrical / RF assemblies needed to manufacture electricity and gas utility meters.
Responsibilities:
•Design and develop electrical schematic and wiring diagrams for manufacturing test equipment solutions, based primarily on test specifications. The test equipment solutions may consist of digital I/O, analog I/O, signal conditioning, switching, and routing of baseband and RF signals, serial communications, etc.
•Partner with the product development team in the creation of the test specifications.
•Debug and verify that the test equipment solution meets the technical requirements.
•Perform reliability and repeatability studies (GR&R).
•Design simple interface/conditioning circuits specifically for the test system solution. This Includes schematic capture and layout.
•Lead the test equipment solution documentation and the assembly process. Supervise resources accountable for creating the documentation and for assembling the test equipment solutions. Coordinate build and design activities with third party vendors. Help define priorities for the working team.
•Orchestrate packing/shipping of the test equipment solution. Work with external vendors and internal personnel to accomplish these tasks.
•Deploy test equipment solutions at Honeywell or external manufacturing sites. Provide post-deployment technical assistance, as needed.
•Train Honeywell and contracted manufacturing test personnel.
