Be part of a team that is defining Honeywell's products. You will leverage your CAD experience and skills in the investigation and solution of challenging technical problems. You will use your creativity to design new and modify existing products, parts, or processes while applying established standards, guidelines and specifications. By collaborating with others on the engineering teams, you will engage in the design, review and optimization process to ensure the quality of the engineering drawings and models, working together to deliver against overall project timelines.
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
Create CAD models and fabrication drawings for internal or external manufacturing while maintaining the specifications
Review other designers' CAD models and drawings to verify completion, accuracy, and compliance with contract specifications
Develop designs of components, sub-assemblies, & systems both independently and in cooperation with engineers, with an eye towards manufacturability, usability, and operation in our internal R&D labs
Participate in the hands-on build-out of systems
Provide input to design reviews with engineering, quality, and manufacturing
YOU MUST HAVE:
Associate's or Technical Degree
7 years of experience using SolidWorks
General understanding of various ASME & ANSI standards, industry manufacturing standards & quality management systems, basic knowledge of GD&T
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
WE VALUE:
Bachelor's degree
Experience transitioning designs from development into & through manufacturing
Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) methods & tools
Experience working with cryogenic systems, particularly in one of the following industries: Nuclear, Aerospace & Defense, Chemical, Cryogenic, Scientific
Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) certification Additional Information
