You will report directly to our VP of Finance Digital Operations, and you'll work out of one of our US hub location(s) on a hybrid work schedule. Preferably this role will sit in either Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As Director of Data Engineering, you will setup a high-performing global team that delivers contemporary data lake and data analytics solutions for all Honeywell business groups and functions.
- You will coach and lead teams to build, configure, and deploy data models and data pipelines to integrate data from various sources to deliver clean, reliable, and high-quality data assets.
- You will own the quality of the data ingested and treat data as a product.
- Build data products in finance domain that are reusable across the enterprise.
- You are curious about the data, you have a knack of exploring and analyzing data to gain the business understanding, establish data quality, summarize results, and communicate to others.
- You will develop solutions using various technologies like Spark, Databricks, Hive, ADLS, PostgreSQL on cloud.
- The software you write is reusable, maintainable and makes it to production in couple of sprints.
- You will work with a team of scrum masters, product owners, data architects, and data scientists to build products from the idea phase through launch and beyond.
- You will be responsible for Database systems development leading teams to deliver Database design requirements, Data modeling, Manage database performance Database systems support, Support Machine learning solutions.
- Ensure Cross team collaboration and nurture adoption of data products across the enterprise.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 8-10 years of data engineering, business intelligence experience
- 3 years of familiarity with BI/DW design principles and Dimensional modelling etc.
- Experience with SAP, SFDC or other enterprise applications that include functional and technical knowledge of the application data models and data domains.
- Experience in building analytics solutions using data from ERP, CRM enterprise systems like SAP, SFDC etc.
- Experience with exploring data using visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Experience in working on analytics projects with Agile and Scrum Methodologies
- Experience in working with remote and global teams and cross team collaboration.
- Good understanding of branching, build, deployment, CI/CD methodologies such as Octopus and Bamboo
- Working knowledge of schema design with NoSQL/Graph systems like Neo4J, MongoDB etc.
- Understanding of best-in-class model and data configuration and development processes
WE VALUE:
- Additional years of industry experience in leading data engineering
- Experience in design and deployment of data products in Databricks (Datalake) and Snowflake (Data Warehouse environments)
- Experience with building applications to process large data sets- structured and unstructured.
- Programming experience with Scala or PySpark on distributed computing platforms like Databricks
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries across large datasets.
- Experience using Azure cloud-based deployments.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM
